Tomorrow, join the Nüümü Yadoha Language Program and Dr. Erika Zavaleta (UC Santa Cruz) for a special naming discussion for a newly discovered subspecies of this stunning bird!

This will be a great opportunity to give this bird an indigenous name! Don't miss it!

Krazee Kidz Icy Delights - Italian ice and corn on the cob
Sacred Soles and Essentials - shoes and apparel
Sierra Sunrise Lemonade - lemonade and baked goods
White Lotus Goods - bread and baked goods

ALSO - Bishop Paiute Tribe Community Market will be accepting EBT for eligible food items! EBT can be used at weekly markets throughout the season to purchase items like local produce and baked goods from market vendors. Please help us spread the word.

The Bishop Paiute Tribe is proud to announce that applications for this year’s Deer Hunt are now available. Important Dates to remember.

Applications Open: June 22, 2026
Deadline: July 17, 2026, by 5:00 PM
Tribal Drawing: July 24, 2026 (Location TBD)
Mandatory Meeting: August 1, 2026

Pick up your application packet from the Front Desk Receptionist (must be stamped when returned).

New This Year:
An Archery Bull Elk Cultural Permit has been added to the Cultural Hunt. If interested, please complete the Cultural Hunter Application included in the packet.

All Bishop Paiute tribal members are eligible to apply, including those who hunt by archery only.

📢 CULTURAL CENTER CLOSED ON SATURDAY, 7/11/2026
Our staff will be supporting the Fort Tejon Memorial Walk/Run by supporting the walkers🚶🏼‍♂️ and runners 🏃🏻‍♀️ along the route, providing water drinks, and other assistance to help keep them hydrated 💦 and safe as they brave the summer heat ☀.

💛This event honors and remembers all those who were forced to march to Fort Tejon in 1863. We are grateful for the opportunity to support the Fort Tejon Memorial Walk/Run participants in remembrance of this important part of our history. Thank you for your understanding, and to everyone.....STAY SAFE AND HYDRATED!

We will reopen on Sunday, 7/12/2026 from 10am to 3pm. We'll see you then!
