Back in service from a camper fire with the resident trapped inside. This was in the 3600 block of Chestnut Dr. Shout out to the passersby Ellen Moore and family who seen it and called it in. They desperately tried to get to the victim, but were unable to. They found a water hose and sprayed water until our units arrived on scene. Our Assistant Chief Kalob Woodall was able to remove the victim. The patient was transported by LifeNet ground unit then flown by LifeNet Air in critical condition. Please keep this patient in your thoughts and prayers!

Update: our firefighter has been released after receiving some IV fluids, and we believe the homeowner is going to be ok. Thank you all for the prayers!!

We are currently out on a structure fire in the 600 block of Navaho Trail. It was called in as smoke in the area. We didn’t realize until we were in route what we had. The elderly homeowner was inside the residence when the fire started. Our Assistant Chief was able to get the resident to safety. The homeowner and one of our firefighters has been transported to area hospitals so please keep them in your prayers! Thank you to New DeRoche, Southwest, Lake Hamilton, Caddo Valley fire departments, LifeNet ambulance, and Hot Spring County Sheriff’s Department for your assistance
