The Missouri Valley Lodge #3 Fraternal Order of Police stands firmly with the prosecutors who refuse to make excuses for criminal behavior and who are committed to holding offenders accountable.
Every day, law enforcement officers put themselves in harm’s way to investigate crimes, make arrests, and protect our communities. Prosecutors work tirelessly to present those cases and seek justice on behalf of victims. That work matters—but accountability requires every part of the criminal justice system to do its part.
We are increasingly concerned when repeat offenders receive sentences that fail to reflect the seriousness of their actions or when judicial decisions allow dangerous individuals back into our communities too soon. Victims deserve justice, law enforcement deserves to see their work carried through, and our communities deserve a justice system that prioritizes public safety.
We commend the Burleigh County State's Attorney's Office for its commitment to pursuing justice and standing up for victims. Missouri Valley Lodge #3 proudly supports prosecutors who are willing to hold criminals accountable, and we encourage every part of the criminal justice system to share that same commitment.

On July 27, 2026, Derrick Laducer pled guilty to two felony offenses – fleeing in a motor vehicle and reckless endangerment. The offenses arose from a fleeing incident in which Laducer fled from Bismarck Police and nearly struck another vehicle.
The State requested a 3-year DOCR sentence. The State noted that Laducer has 13 prior felony convictions, including convictions for Burglary, Theft by Deception and Unauthorized Use of Personal Identifying Information. This is Laducer’s 5th fleeing offense.
The defense asked for a probation sentence.
Judge Bobbi Weiler sentenced Laducer to 2 years of supervised probation.
