The Bismarck Community Orchard is located at the Clem Kelley Softball Complex, 517 W. Arbor Avenue and is home to apple and plum trees and various berry-producing shrubs. The location was picked based on public accessibility, proximity to lower-income populations within Bismarck, ease of use for educational purposes and supplying food pantries. The Orchard was initially planted in 2015 with suppor

t from the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, Bismarck Parks and Recreation District (BPRD), and Go! The goal of the Orchard is to provide fresh produce for the community and the Hunger Free ND Garden Program and provide educational opportunities for using and preserving fruit. Updates on when the fruits are ready to be harvested will be shared here and on BPRD’s page. Watch for invitations to various free educational community events, too. Our Story

Thanks to a grant from the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, the Go! Bismarck Mandan Community Coalition was able to plant three community orchard sites in Bismarck. As the plants grow, we invite the community to harvest ripe produce for their families and donate any extra to local food helper agencies. We will use this page to share updates when the fruits are ready to be harvested.

If you would like to Adopt-a-Row or Sponsor a Fruit Tree, please message or email us, or visit https://www.bisparks.org/facilities/community-gardens-and-orchards/ for more information.

Thank you for your community support!
