This dog was found behind Stock's Electric in Lemmon. Possibly a golden retriever mix. There is a rabies tag from Boise, Idaho on it.

It's going to get hot today so we would really like to find the owner soon. The dog is currently at the Lemmon Sheriff's Office or you can call 605-374-5651.

The Perkins County Sheriff's Office was informed of another scam going around.

This scam has the caller using one of the Sheriff's Office phone numbers, Lemmon in this case (605-374-5651), stating there is a warrant out for your arrest. They are saying that if you don't pay the amount, you'll be arrested.

The Sheriff's Office will never call you and tell you of a warrant. We will always come and talk to you in person. We will also never call and ask for money.

Please call the Sheriff's Office and verify these before you do anything. If you contact the Sheriff's Office, it will ring to the deputy on duty and will not ring back to the scammer.

Also remember South Dakota does not have toll roads.

Please pay close attention to where this is located, if you haven't been to the area it is most likely going to be a scam.

As with any of these, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call the Sheriff's Office in Lemmon or Bison.

The Sheriff's Office was informed this morning that the work on the AT&T tower is going to take longer than anticipated and could take up to an additional 5 days.

Please keep in mind that the Sheriff's Office is not speaking on behalf of AT&T.
