Peter has been a valued member of the Perkins County Sheriff's Office, serving our community with professionalism, integrity, and dedication. Hee will certainly be missed by his coworkers and the community.

We urge all residents and visitors to Perkins County to use common sense and exercise caution with activities that involve or may cause fires due to dry conditions.

Chance of severe thunderstorms are expected to develop across the area.
Now is the time to prepare:
âś… Have a plan and know where you will take shelter if a warning is issued.
âś… Identify the safest place in your home, preferably a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor away from windows.
âś… Make sure your cell phone is charged and emergency alerts are enabled.
âś… Have multiple ways to receive weather warnings, especially overnight.
âś… Secure outdoor items that could become airborne in strong winds.

Do not wait until severe weather is approaching to decide what you will do. Conditions can change rapidly, and having a plan in place can save lives.
