ARLINGTON UPDATE
DEAR COMPATRIOT
For everyone who called and wrote Governor Youngkin before he left office can take pride knowing they played a crucial part in our overall protective strategy.
Virginia’s history deserves protection, and we are grateful for the engagement shown by so many.
CURRENT STATUS
Our team and allies are initiating discussions with Arlington National Cemetery to move toward timely reinstallation. Three years is too long. And they, like us, recognize that delays introduce risk that could jeopardize our goal.
IMMEDIATE THREATS
With the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) underway and national elections approaching, there is a narrow window to complete the reinstallation. Leadership changes or new legislation could create additional roadblocks. Our goal is to build strong support in the House Armed Services Committee to keep the path clear for restoration.
ACTION REQUESTED
COMPATRIOT this is the moment for action. We are asking you to make a brief call to these important Congressional Committee Members. The goal is simple: urge them to support reinstalling the Reconciliation Memorial in time for America 250 — our nation’s 250th anniversary.
CALL TO ACTION
Are any of these members below, your Representative? If so, please call them today.
If not, please pick one or two you may have a connection with (you support them, have family/friends in their district, etc.).
Call the Capitol Switchboard:
202-224-3121
If you can, please also consider calling or visiting their local district offices.
SUGGESTED TALKING POINTS
• My family and I are deeply disappointed that the Reconciliation Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery has not yet been restored.
• This year marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The Memorial should be back in place by July 4th as a symbol of national unity and true reconciliation!.
• America’s memorial to reconciliation and shared sacrifice deserves to stand.
· Does your boss agree that America’s memorial to unity and reconciliation should be restored? (if they don’t know, can you ask them to find out and get back to you)?
NOTE: (If the Representative is running for re-election, is it ok to mention, that their position is a factor in how you will be voting this year)
· (If they do support), can you check and see how he/she can help and let me know?
COMPATRIOT Please let us know the response you receive — your feedback is very helpful.
Thank you for standing up for this important piece of American history. Your voice matters.
