We'd like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who made our first Park Rhythms of the summer so special! Last night was the first Park Rhythms performance at Lake Tomahawk in seven years, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening to welcome the series back to the lake. We had great music by Luke Norton & Alli Blois, delicious food from Smokee's Wood Fired Pizza & Sweet Cub Soft Serve, and perfect weather to bring it all together.

We hope you'll join us again in two weeks on Thursday, June 25th, as we welcome indie rockers, Hiding Places, all the way from Queens, NY! We'll also have burgers served up by Smasheville, and icee's provided by Owen High Athletics!

See you on the 25th!

Tonight's the night! Join us at Lake Tomahawk from 6:00-8:00 p.m. this evening for a FREE concert featuring Luke Norton & Alli Blois!

In the event of inclement weather, tonight's show will be moved indoors to the upstairs of the Lakeview Center.

Our Park Rhythms Concert Series returns to Lake Tomahawk next Thursday, June 11th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with live music by Luke Norton & Alli Blois!

Below are a few day-of details to help you plan for our first show of the series:

Parking (please walk/bike/carpool if possible):
Limited parking will be available at the following locations:
- Lake Tomahawk
- Cragmont Park
- Public Parking lot behind the Black Mountain United Methodist Church
(15 min walk, 1/2 mile away)

Rain Location: In the event of inclement weather, this show will be moved indoors to the upstairs of the Lakeview Senior Center at Lake Tomahawk.

Food: Two food trucks will be on-site for 6/11- Smokee's Pizza Truck & Sweet Cub Soft Serve Ice Cream! Attendees are also welcome to bring their own picnics (no alcohol allowed).

Seating: Please bring your own chair/blanket to set up on the lawn in front of the stage!

Info Tent: Parks & Rec will be set up on-site to assist attendees and give away some free swag! We'll have frisbees, sunglasses, pens, and stickers while supplies last!

Our Park Rhythms Concert Series kicks off in two weeks at Lake Tomahawk!

We're excited to welcome Luke Norton and Alli Blois to the stage for our first show of the summer. Luke Norton is a guitarist and songwriter based in Hillsborough, NC. After years of working as a stage and studio musician for artists like Angel Olsen, HC McEntire, Molly Burch, and Little Wings, Luke released his first record ‘Reservoir' in 2026.

One can imagine the Alli Blois universe as an amoeba on the tip of a well-aimed arrow gliding through the horizons of an enchanted forest. Blood moon ballads spill from Alli Blois’ Seeping Hearts Club Band.

Needless to say, our first show back at Lake Tomahawk will be a special one. In addition to great live music, we'll also have Smokee's wood-fired pizza AND Sweet Cub soft serve ice cream.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Update (5/28): Although drought conditions have improved, we are now facing unforeseen mechanical issues with the splash pad. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get the splash pad fixed. We'll update this post once it is back up and running.

Splash Pad Update: The Town Square Splash Pad will remain closed until drought conditions improve throughout our area.

We appreciate your patience during this time and encourage you to check out the Black Mountain Pool if you're looking for a way to cool off!
