Historic Keefe house built by architect/contractor, JJ McGillivray with construction starting in 1909 and completed in 1910 for first occupants of the house, Franklin E. & Eva Keefe & their children, Verna Keefe & Maurice (Mike) Keefe. Keefe was a prominent & well respected business man in Black River Falls. He owned the Keefe Furniture & Keefe Funeral Home in Downtown Black River Falls. Franklin

also started the first ambulance service in Black River Falls. Listed on the Wisconsin State & National Register of Historic Places.

One person's "trash" definitely can become another's "treasure". At a recent fundraiser rummage sale I found a basket filled with over a dozen clock figurines priced at just $1 for the whole basket. While I certainly appreciated the bargain, I knew they were worth much more, so I left a $10 donation to help support the organization.

I kept a few of these to display with at the house. Here is a look at them now. The rest were taken down to my store to sell.

This year I went with a Patriotic theme with flowers in the pots. They were looking really nice until the deer decided to snack on the blooms last night. Now they aren't as full anymore but they will come back and fill in soon.
