Blackfoot has asked for 6 to 8 youth that can help for an hour or so to put eggs put for the Easter egg hunt. It would be April 20th in the morning. If you can or want to help comment with your name, if no one leaves their names I will assume that no one can help and advise them as such.

BHS Senior Olivia Arave signed her letter of intent to play basketball at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah next year. She was joined by family, coaches and teammates as she made it official this morning. Congratulations Olivia!
We are still looking for 2 or 3 youth members that can help with the community dinner table tonight to assist the Blackfoot Elms. If you can we would live to see you at 4:30. We should be done by 6:30.
This past Tuesday the Blackfoot/Bingham County Youth Coalition was afforded the opportunity to provide service again this year by preparing meals and serving those of the Blackfoot Community that rely on the Blackfoot Community Dinner table program. We served 220 people this year. I wanted to thank the Blackfoot Community Dinner Table and the Blackfoot Pantry for helping us pull this dinner together. I also wanted to thank Tadd Jenkins and Tadd Jenkins Auto Group for their support for the second year in help us cover our food costs. They have been very generous and a valuable partner of the Blackfoot/Bingham County Youth Coalition. With that said I wanted to let all of the youth that participated and help know that I appreciate your help and you continue to make positive changed to your communities, so those from Blackfoot, Snake River and Shelley, Thank you very much.
Youth have been invited to attend the Lincoln Day celebration and event. It is hosted by the Republican Party. It is at the Fort Hall Event Center this Saturday at 12:30. Youth that attend will get to meet state and local elected officials. It would be a good thing for those seniors that are looking at political science course in college, high school student that want to be involved in the conversations with our elected officials, or just want a free good lunch. BINGHAM COUNTY SENIOR'S Tomorrow the 2019 Bingham County Mayor's Scholarships will open. They will be open from February 1st through March 11th, 2019. Applications will be available at Blackfoot, Shelley and Aberdeen City Offices. High schools should have these forms as well. If you have any problems getting the application you can e-mail me at [email protected] and I can e-mail the form back to you. Good luck and remember, you cannot get $$ for college if you don't apply.

Tomorrow, Wednesday January 16, 2019 we will be at the Aberdeen Health Fair. We are looking for youth that may want to go represent the Youth group and help us with a little recruiting. If you you can and can ride with use we will be leaving at 7am if weather is good and 6:30 am if it snows over night. We will return between 3 and 4 pm

Hi All, We just got a call from ITD our traffic safety partners. They have a booth for the Eastern Idaho State Fair. Those students who attended conferences last spring all agreed to help man this booth, however I think there may be others that may help out as well. If you volunteer you will get a ticket in to the fair. We will have two youth for each time slot so you and a friend to get tickets into the fair, work a shift and then do whatever you would like. It is every day starting Friday August 31 through Saturday September 8. There are three shifts each day 10am to 2pm / 2pm to 6pm / 6pm to 10 pm. Contact Capt Cowley at 208-317-4321 to get the shift you want on the day you want.

I wanted to take time to recognize some outstanding youth within the BBCYC. This year 5 of our members applied for the Bingham County Mayoral Scholarship. The BBCYC only has the ability to award one scholarship, however watching throughout the day it was awesome to see that these 5 youth all received scholarships as they have shown great abilities within their schools and communities. The Blackfoot/Bingham County Youth Coalition is currently accepting applications for four different trips this year. Locations are in Twin Falls, two in Boise, and San Antonio TX.
Applicants must be able to show how they would implement a Youthful Driving program in the school and be able to do monthly safe driving activities at the school.
Participation is limited and will be selected from a list of applicants. Pick up applications in the main office and return us by February 13th!
Also, we will be doing a short class on what is expected for the projects at Bingham County Courthouse, Sheriff's Office on 2/8/18 at 4:30 pm
