Congratulations to Julie Berkley on being selected as the Dreams on Horseback September 2022 Volunteer of the Month. Julie volunteers each week with our therapeutic lesson students and her dedication to the students on Thursdays is so wonderful. She puts forth so much effort to make this the best night for each of these riders. When instructor Becky Hickman was asked about Julie, this is what she had to say: "I so appreciate Julie's help each week. I am assured that anything Julie puts her hands on is done correctly. She brings her positive, light hearted joy into the arena each week!" Your dedication and heart for Dreams is amazing to see and we are so grateful that you choose to spend your time with us. Again, congratulations, Julie!

Congratulations Colby!

A word from our Volunteer Coordinator, Lesley Thomas:

Colby Collins has been selected as the Dreams on Horseback's April 2022 Volunteer of the Month. Colby volunteers each week with our therapeutic riding lesson program. Colby's dedication, along with his positive attitude and pure enthusiasm is contagious at the barn.

As a Senior at Gahanna Lincoln High School, Colby not only volunteers, but he juggles a demanding course load as well as a job. When we asked Colby what volunteering at Dreams means to him, he said, "As a volunteer I am able to make an impact on every rider's life, one hour at a time. Not only does volunteering allow me to fulfill my ambitions, it makes every week a better week for me when I step through the doors and see everyone. Simply put, Dreams is a second family."

Dreams on Horseback and Field of Dreams are looking for both traditional and therapeutic riding instructors to expand our staff. Applicants should have significant experience teaching riding lessons and be familiar with both English and western disciplines, although primary experience in one discipline or the other is acceptable. The majority of riding lessons are from 4-8 on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings and early afternoons. Applicants interested in working in our on-ground daytime therapeutic programs a plus.
