Coalition for Justice, Blacksburg, VA

Coalition for Justice, Blacksburg, VA Formed in 1981 as a response to the Reagan administration's support for the Salvadoran government's violent suppression of progressive movements.

The Coalition for Justice was formed in 1981, in response to the Reagan administration's support for the Salvadoran government's violent repression of progressive movements. Since that time, we have come to take a more global view and see that we are part of a larger human rights community where all people's struggles for peace, justice, and dignity must be observed and nurtured. We firmly believe

that the most just, effective and responsible form of resistance, even to the most extreme form of violence, is nonviolent resistance.

From a grieving Mother who has to endure the pain and loss of her son. , shame on the local BPD!

To the Blacksburg Police Department:
I am the mother of the deceased, Daniel Steinberg and this has been a horrible experience for me to see the Blacksburg Police Department vilify an innocent man and accuse him of a drug crime without evidence. The Medical examiner told me yesterday that my son died of a heart attack and the toxicology report was clean. Daniel had no drugs in his system. BPD accused an innocent man without any proof whatsoever. In the search Warrant the police listed Daniel as a known drug user, which was also false just to start an investigation of a drug crime. The police department actions were uncalled for and also unethical, negligent, and cruel and should be punished. The BPD ought to at the least post an apology here. From a mother who loved her son dearly as he was a good human being, who would help anyone in need. What a useless way of spending our hard-earned tax dollars. Items were removed from my son's property and I want the police department to return them promptly as they are important for my son's business to continue operating. Employees don't get paid and bills have become delinquent and I feel helpless as I can't do anything until those items are returned now. Shame to the Blacksburg Police.

We're reminding the Trump administration how our country works in our fight for birthright citizenship and beyond.
