The Blacksburg Police Department offers our sympathy and support to the Darlington County Sheriff's Office and the family, friends, and coworkers of fallen Deputy Devin Mason, who was killed in the line of duty early today. Rest in peace, brother.

There is a family just outside Blacksburg that lost almost everything Christmas morning in a house fire, including children's presents. If anyone would like to donate money or items, see any Blacksburg Police Officer or come by Town Hall or the PD. For a list of items needed, please see Clay Greer's FB page. ***NOTICE*** Please be aware that there will be approximately 9 large fireworks fired tonight around dark in the area of the Ed Brown Rodeo grounds and behind the Blacksburg Middle School. This is not a show open to the public, as this is just test fire for a possible show later in the year.

Blacksburg Police Department had the privilege of participating in Blacksburg High Senior interviews today! Mrs. Whitney Black did an excellent job setting up mock interviews for seniors so they could practice & and receive feedback! Always such a joy to work with these great kids!
