🇺🇸 Today, we honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Your legacy and service to our country will never be forgotten. We would like to wish everyone a safe and blessed Memorial Day 🇺🇸💙

The Virginia Tech War Memorial is not just a beautiful place on campus, but meaningful monument dedicated to the 400+ alumni who lost their lives in the line of duty. Each of the eight pylons are engraved with VT's core values and the names of the fallen heroes.

At the center of the memorial, a marble cenotaph displays the names of 8 VT alumni who have received the Medal of Honor, America's highest aware for valor.

May we all continue to serve in the spirit of Brotherhood, Duty, Honor, Loyalty, Leadership and Sacrifice.

Without the generosity of our sponsors, a successful Hot Dog Luncheon (over $6,700 raised for Special Olympics!) would not have been possible! Thank you for supporting our community and helping make a positive impact.

Yesterday our University community came together to volunteer, to donate and to have a lunch together in support of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Virginia. We raised over $6700 for Special Olympic Athletes.

We will run our 2-mile leg of the Torch Run on Wednesday, May 27th at 8am from the front of the VT Public Safety Building. You can register to run with us, buy a shirt or donate to our VT TORCH RUNNERS LETR Team at https://impact.specialolympicsva.org/team/808350.
