Training across campuses, serving across communities. 💙

Earlier this month, VTPD's Emergency Response Team (ERT) joined SRT and SRT for ongoing SWAT joint-training. These groups are a part of the unique University Special Operations Group (USOG) who can respond to major events at any Virginia state university where their special skills are needed, such as last year's Metallica concert.

We remain committed to collaborating in order to share information, practice safe and effective responses, and do everything we can to best serve our communities and the Commonwealth.

This FREE four-session basic self defense program will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Mondays, June 15, 22 and 29, and July 6.

Fueling the Flame of Hope 🔥This morning, VTPD, Blacksburg PD and our community members completed our portion of the Virginia Torch Run to support Special Olympics!
