Kids can earn prizes all summer long just by reading!

📖 Earn 1 ticket for every 5 books read
🎟️ Use tickets to enter prize drawings
🏆 Grand prizes include:

• Educational toys
• A mini Polaroid camera
• A scooter
• And more!

Plus, children will receive small prizes for every completed reading log submitted and can earn extra grand prize entries by participating in library programs and activities throughout the summer.

Calling all dinosaur hunters! Join us for a prehistoric adventure at the Blackwell Public Library!
Will you find a roaring T-Rex, a towering Brontosaurus, or a spiky Stegosaurus? There's only one way to find out!

🍎 ¡El Programa GRATUITO de Comidas de Verano de la Biblioteca Pública de Blackwell regresa a partir del 3 de junio! 🍎

Todos los miércoles, del 3 de junio al 29 de julio, la Biblioteca Pública de Blackwell, en colaboración con Hunger Free Oklahoma y el Banco Regional de Alimentos de Oklahoma, distribuirá cajas semanales de alimentos GRATIS para niños y jóvenes de 18 años o menos.

📦 Una caja de alimentos por niño
📅 Todos los miércoles
⏰ Solamente de 10:30 a.m. a 11:30 a.m.
🚗 Recogida desde su vehículo (drive-thru)

Por favor, haga fila sobre la Calle 1st (Primera Calle), luego gire hacia Padon y entre al callejón.

Cada caja contiene alimentos no perecederos suficientes para una semana.

Un padre, madre o tutor legal debe estar presente para recoger las cajas, pero los niños no necesitan estar en el vehículo.

La entrega se realizará en el callejón ubicado entre la Biblioteca Pública de Blackwell y el Museo de Blackwell. Se compartirán instrucciones más detalladas sobre el tráfico y la recogida conforme se acerque la fecha de inicio.

Las cajas de alimentos estarán disponibles hasta agotar existencias.

🍎 The Blackwell Public Library’s FREE Summer Meal Program is back starting June 3! 🍎

Every Wednesday from June 3 through July 29, Blackwell Public Library — in partnership with Hunger Free Oklahoma and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma — will provide FREE weekly meal boxes for children ages 18 and under.

📦 One meal box per child
📅 Every Wednesday
⏰ 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. ONLY
🚗 Drive-thru pickup

Please line up ALONG 1st Street, turn onto Padon, then into the alley.

Each box includes one week’s worth of shelf-stable meals.

A parent or guardian must be present to pick up boxes, but children do not need to be in the vehicle.

Pickup will take place in the alley between the Blackwell Public Library and the Blackwell Museum. More detailed traffic and pickup instructions will be shared closer to the start date.

Food boxes are available while supplies last.

Our 2026 Summer Reading Kickoff Party was a DINO-MITE success (sorry, we had to)! 🦖📚

A huge thank you to the hundreds of community members who came out to eat, have fun, and sign up for our Summer Reading Program!

We’d also like to give a major shoutout to the staff of Blackwell Head Start for their help in making this event such a success.

The kids had a roaring good time at our dinosaur-themed party and absolutely loved the amazing magic show by Funky Monkey Entertainment!

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We can't wait to see you all this summer at the library! ☀️📖🦕
