Have you heard of Bitcoin ATMs? You may have walked by it at a gas station or a liquor store. These machine are used for one thing: SCAMS! This week, Senator Moriarty’s bill to ban Bitcoin ATMs cleared the Senate Commerce Committee. As cryptocurrency scams continue to target seniors and other vulnerable populations, this legislation is an important step toward preventing financial exploitation and protecting consumers.

Senator Moriarty and Assemblyman Hutchison’s bill to ban microbets passed the Assembly Tourism, Gaming and the Arts Committee. Microbets allow people to place wagers on the next play, pitch, or moment during a game, fueling fast paced and high risk gambling behavior.
