The Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission has had the privilege of supporting public ice arenas with matching grants funded by the Minnesota Legislature through the Mighty Ducks Grant Program for over 30 years. Over the course of the program, Mighty Ducks has provided over $25M in matching grants that has leveraged over $175M in non-state investment for over 100 ice arenas across the state. A few are on this list!

Among the projects is an ice rink attached to the $70 million Minnesota Hockey Hall of Fame’s facility in Inver Grove Heights.

The MASC is accepting applications for the 2025 James Metzen Mighty Ducks Ice Arena Grant Program. The program provides financial assistance to Minnesota communities to improve indoor air quality in ice arenas and to eliminate the use of R-22 systems in ice arena refrigeration.

The Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission is proud to support our flagship facility, the National Sports Center, in hosting the 2024 Target USA CUP. This year's tournament was the largest ever! Hosting approximately 17,000 local, national, and international players, we're thrilled to bring some of the world's best youth soccer players to Blaine, Minnesota. With an estimated $37 million in total economic impact, we're proud to deliver on our mission to drive sports tourism, create employment opportunities, and support our regional economy.
