Councilmember Dick Swanson has represented ward one on the Blaine City Council since 1994. Councilmember Swanson is not seeking reelection and will retire from the council at the end of 2020. One project that Councilmember Swanson spent years working on for the residents of Blaine was a dedicated dog park. The off leash dog park at Aquatore Park is a very popular amenity for Blaine residents and earlier this week the Blaine City Council officially renamed the dog park as Swanson Dog Park. Congratulations to Councilmember Swanson and we look forward to continuing to celebrate your contributions to the City of Blaine as we approach the end of your term.

Special thanks to Spring Lake Park, Blaine, Mounds View Fire Dept. Anoka County Sheriff's Office Lino Lakes Police Department Lino Lakes Public Safety- Fire Division Centennial Lakes Police Department Minnesota State Patrol for volunteering to help our shoppers. Target Store Blaine and Blaine Festival for their donations toward gift cards and food.The Ritz Photobooth for providing the photobooth for fun pictures.All professional photography was donated by Alicia Marie Photography .
