Unbelievable turnout today for the Christmas parade. It was awesome, very proud to be part of this. Thank you Mayor Marvin Braden, James Barnes, for your hard work on this event. Also I want to thank Sheriff James Harville for providing support with several great Deputies and leading the parade. Tennessee Highway Patrol , Blaine Officers and Blaine Maintenance for providing assistance.

Blaine's Trunk or Treat event is scheduled for tonight at City Hall. We welcome you to stop by for treat bags from 6pm-8pm. A hot dog meal will be served to all kids. Thank you to all sponsors and for donations made to make this event a success.

The Police Department invites applications for the position of Patrolman, offering competitive compensation comparable to surrounding agencies. Applications will be accepted for a period of two weeks. Benefits encompass: Tennessee State retirement plan, state insurance plan, overtime opportunities, take-home vehicle provision, dental and vision insurance, and paid holidays.

On 8/1/25 Officers with the Blaine Police Department responded to a shooting on Little Valley Road. Upon arrival a male was found on scene deceased from a gunshot wound. The investigation is ongoing and TBI is providing assistance in the case. The Grainger County Sheriff’s Department and Rutledge Police Department provided assistance on scene.

Press Release
On 3/9/25 the Blaine Police Department along with the Blaine Fire Department responded to a fatal house fire. The incident is being investigated by the Blaine Police Department and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. The victim has been sent to the Knoxville Forensic Center for an autopsy. Our deepest condolences to the family of the victim.
