Update: 31 citizens and several pets were rescued from homes and vehicles during the rain event.

Working Together When It Matters Most
Blaine Volunteer Fire Department responded to water rescue incidents caused by flooding alongside Rutledge VolunteerFireDepartment, Grainger County Emergency Medical Services Grainger County Sheriff's Department, Bean Station Rescue Squad, Grainger County 911, Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, Jefferson City Police Department, Grainger County Rescue Squad, Grainger County School System.
Floodwaters can change rapidly and create extremely dangerous conditions. We're grateful for the teamwork, professionalism, and dedication shown by every responder on scene as we worked together to help those in need.
Thank you to all agencies for your partnership and commitment to serving our communities. It's an honor to stand beside you when our neighbors need us most.
If you encounter flooded roadways, remember: Turn Around, Don't Drown. No destination is worth risking your life.

🚒🤝 Training Together. Serving Together.
On Tuesday July 21st, Blaine Volunteer Fire Department joined forces with Rutledge Volunteer Fire Department for a night of hands-on training. Working alongside neighboring departments helps strengthen our skills, improve communication, and build the teamwork needed when seconds count.
We're proud to train together so we're better prepared to serve our communities when the call comes.
