🍤 IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN!!!! 🍤

The Shrimp Snob, Biram Chapman, has partnered with us for the 5th year in a row in support of the Blairsville Shop with a Cop program. 🍤🚔

Get your wild caught shrimp, fresh from the Georgia Coast by pre-ordering now, in person at the Blairsville Police Department, or by calling 706-835-1692.

Shrimp are $18.00 per lb. if paying with cash or $19.00 per lb. if paying by card. The “Shrimp Snob” will be donating $6 for each pound of his super fresh, wild-caught GA coast shrimp that is sold during the fundraiser to the Blairsville Police Department’s Shop with a Cop program.

🗓️ Last day to pre-order is Monday, August 31st!

Pick up for all shrimp will be Saturday, September 5th at the Blairsville Police Department from 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m..

The Blairsville Police Department will have a table at the Union County Farmers Market on Saturday, August 15th selling Duck Derby tickets! Come see us and grab your tickets at $10 a ticket! 🎟️

It won’t be long until it’s time for DUCK DERBY DAY! Mark your calendars for September 5th at 11:00 AM at the Union County Farmers Market! We can’t wait to see you there!

We are less than a month away from the 8th annual Shop with a Cop Duck Derby! 🐥 🏁

Duck Derby tickets are still available until the day of the event on September 5th at 11am located at the Union County Farmers Market, so come by the Blairsville Police Department Monday- Friday from 8-4 or give us a call at 706-835-1692!

We would like to send a thank you to the additional businesses and individuals who have generously donated prizes to our 8th annual Shop with a Cop Duck Derby since our last post.

We truly could not do this without the support of our community, our donors, and everyone who purchases a ticket, attends the event, or helps spread the word. Your support makes a difference!

Union County has a new Alert System! Union County EMA would like to introduce the new RAVE Alert System. Register today!

The RAVE system has several different types of notifications. EMERGENCY notifications such as evacuations, fires, floods, chemical spills, or other emergency situations. Weather Warning automatically notifies citizens of severe weather issued by the National Weather Service. Public Safety notifications to communicate non-life safety matters, such as road closures or utility issues.

Notifications can be delivered via text message, phone call, or email.
