The Blairsville DDA consists of a seven member Board of Directors appointed by the Blairsville City Council. These dedicated individuals meet monthly to discuss issues relating to the revitalization of Downtown Blairsville. Harper, committee chairs, and volunteers. Dog Days of Summer is finally here!! 🩷

🐾 Blairsville Pet Parade is TOMORROW morning, Saturday, 6/20! 🐾 Leashes up, pups! The Pet Parade kicks off at 9 AM sharp from City Hall to start Dog Days of Summer in style.

✨ Route Highlights:
🧼 Keen Creations — first 20 entries get free Miss Jenny’s Soap + SASSYSQRL samples
📚 Book Bound Bookstore — treats + their adorable animal‑themed display
🐾 Season’s Inn — keep an eye out… you might get to see Miller as we parade by!
💧 Coldwell Banker High Country Realty — hydration station powered by Michele Horton

🏁 The Grand Finale:
We’ll make our way past the thrift store and the vaccine clinic, arriving together to officially open Dog Days of Summer at the Mountain Village Shopping Center! Pet adoptions, nail trims, vaccines, microchipping, vendors, food & FUN!!

Bring your terrier, your hound, your rescue — all well‑behaved pets welcome. Safe Pet Project & Safe Pet Project Thrift Store has done a wonderful job organizing this event!! 🐶🐾🦴🐕

We are excited to announce that Janie Farist is the winner of the 2026 Green Bean Festival T-Shirt Design Contest! 💚🫛

Janie’s original watercolor design beautifully captures the spirit of our festival and our sweet little town. We can’t wait to see everyone wearing this year’s official festival shirt! Stay tuned...pre-order info coming soon! We will also have them for sale at the festival!

We've got some exciting news! Downtown Blairsville is sponsoring FREE Kids Patriotic Face Painting at The America's 250th Birthday Parade in Downtown Blairsville, GA on July 4th. 🇺🇸This will be with Ha’s Face Painting ! ❤️She shared her flyer with us below)Find her set up down in front of City Hall 9:00-11:30AM)

We will also have FREE popcorn🍿

Parades are more than just fun...they’re a chance to teach our children about our nation’s history, honor those who have served, and create memories that last a lifetime. Watching the flags wave, hearing the music, and celebrating together helps kids connect with their community and appreciate the freedoms we enjoy every day, especially here in our beautiful little mountain town. 🌄Let's show them how to respect & love America! 🇺🇸

🫛🌱 We Need Your Help! 🌱🫛

The Green Bean Festival is all about celebrating our agricultural roots, local farmers, and the wonderful people who make Blairsville special. Although the festival is shaping up nicely, we’re looking for a few community members to help us make it extra-special! The festival is July 25th-26th!

We’re currently seeking:
🫘 2-3 more Local Farmers to bring fresh produce and share their harvest with festival-goers
🚜 Antique Tractor Owners willing to display their tractors during the festival - An antique tractor club would be great!
🌱 2 Volunteers for farming/agricultural demonstrations
🎤 A Local Student Singer to perform the National Anthem and help us officially open the festival

Come with me over to Laughing Giraffe Toys and Discs in Downtown Blairsville to look around and surprise a sweet little shopper! She was the sweetest little thing!
