An End of an Era at Vogel State Park 💚

On Friday, we celebrated the retirement of the one and only Dale Culberson after 23 wonderful years in housekeeping at Vogel.

She brought lots laughter, joy, and a whole lot of heart to everything she did. She wasn’t just cleaning cottages — she was helping create memories for thousands of families who visited our park.

What makes this even more special? Dale’s sister, Gay, also dedicated over two decades to housekeeping at Vogel. And her husband, Keith, volunteered an incredible 19,000+ hours serving alongside her. Talk about a family legacy of service! 💚

Dale, Gay and Keith thank you for your hard work, your laughter, and the love you poured into Vogel State Park for over 2 decades. You will always be part of the Vogel family.

Vogel State Park is looking for Cottage Hosts to help our housekeeping team keep our beloved cottages fresh, clean, and ready for guests.

As a Cottage Host, you’ll assist with the upkeep and cleaning of park cottages while enjoying the beauty of the North Georgia mountains.

What’s Included:
✅ Full hook-up site provided
✅ Free camping in exchange for volunteer hours
✅ Opportunity to be part of an amazing park community

Requirements:
🚐 Must provide your own RV
🗓️ Commit to 2–6 months
💪 Contribute 24+ volunteer hours per week

Housekeeper Position

As a Housekeeper, you'll be the guardian of cleanliness in our cottages and facilities. From making beds to vacuuming and maintaining pristine bathrooms, you'll ensure a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests. Join us and start your journey at $13 per hour, with the possibility of a performance-based rate increase every 6 months.

Work Schedule
All positions are part-time, with a flexible up to 29-hour work week.
