September Senior Spotlight: Jenny Tzeng-King
This month, we are delighted to shine the spotlight on Jenny whose inspiring journey, love of music, and commitment to lifelong learning make her a treasured member of our Union County Senior Center community.
Born and raised in Taiwan, Jenny moved to the United States with her husband to attend the University of Georgia. What began as an educational adventure grew into a beautiful life together. This year, they celebrate 35 years of marriage, and one of their greatest joys has been raising their twins, who are now continuing the family tradition as students at UGA.
Music has always played a central role in Jenny's life. She taught piano for 25 years and was an active member of the National Music Teachers Association. Today, she continues to share her passion and talents by offering private piano lessons in her home. She also enjoys singing in her church choir and listening to all kinds of music, with a special appreciation for classical music.
A few years ago, Jenny joined UCSC as a way to meet local people and become more involved in the community. Since then, she has become an active participant in many programs, especially Barbara's exercise classes and Charlotte's painting classes.
One of the things she values most about the center is the opportunity to build friendships and learn from others. She finds encouragement in hearing fellow members' stories and appreciates the inspiration they provide on how to remain active, engaged, and positive throughout the senior years.
Whether she is teaching piano, singing in the choir, exercising, painting, or connecting with friends at the center, Jenny exemplifies the importance of staying involved and pursuing the things you love. We are grateful for the warmth, talent, and positivity she brings to our Senior Center family.
Please join us in congratulating Jenny Tzeng-King, our Senior Spotlight of the Month!
