We want to take the time to shout out one of our 4-H'ers, Harper Sapp! This past weekend, Harper competed in her first goat show, the Rock Your Stock event in Marianna, FL. Harper got second in showmanship and was fourth in her weight class. What an amazing success for Harper at her first goat show! She gained a lot of new information and is looking forward to applying it at her next show, Peach State Labor Day Showdown, which takes place this Sunday in Perry, GA. Please join us in congratulating Harper and wishing her luck this weekend!

Who is ready to see what all the buzz is about? 🐝🦋🪰🐞🌷🪻🌺🌻

Early County 4-H is joining the Great Southeast Pollinator Census to make a difference simply by counting some pollinators! This event will take place on Friday, August 21 from 3:30-5 pm at the Early County Extension office. We will learn about the various pollinators we might see and then take a trip to a local farm in Bluffton. After 15 minutes of counting pollinators, we will return back to the Extension office for some refreshments.

Apply to be one of 35 students selected for a day of lab experiments at UGA's College of Vet Medicine in Tifton, GA on August 31, 2026. Learn about parasites, infectious diseases, how to conduct lab tests, and more!

I am so proud of our campers! They have showed such dedication to keeping their cabins clean and following “lights out.” 💚Both of our cabins received 3 straight green stars!!!💚

As the girls’ reward for their green stars, they chose to prank the boys’ cabins! They absolutely had a blast writing chalk descriptions on the concrete in front of the boys’ cabins!!

We also got to hear the legend of Rock Eagle on Pageant grounds! It was quite the experience and all the counselors did a fantastic job putting it on!!!

Last but not least, we enjoyed our last nest time with our counselors in a special place. We walked down to Skybird bridge and got to take in the moon and stars during our final night chat. 🌙⭐️

It’s HUMP DAY!!! 🐪 We have officially made it through the halfway point of Cloverleaf Camp! What a day it was! We started with a nature hike where students got to learn the history of Rock Eagle and study the trees and their leaves. 🍃 Then students went to their main interest classes to learn archery, canoeing, etc. 🛶 In the afternoon, students tried out for the flight games that will take place tomorrow. During cabin time, there was an optional raptor class where some students got to see a Great Horned Owl and a Hawk! At night, it was everybody’s favorite VARIETY SHOW!!!!! The kids had a blast dancing and singing along!🎵 Lamontrey even got to demonstrate his comedy skills. Finally, we celebrated 250 years with some gorgeous fireworks!! 🎇 🧨 🎆

💚Green stars again for both cabins! Keep up the great work!💚
