Our goals are to promote an integrated solid waste management system that protects the environment and public health and safety.

The Monroe County Municipal Waste Management Authority is responsible for the long-term management of municipal waste in Monroe County. We incorporate an integrated solid waste management system: waste reduction and minimization practices, waste reuse or remanufacturing, recycling, composting, and proper disposal.

⚠️ Contractors: A valid permit is required to dispose of materials at this facility. All commercial users will be required to display a permit upon entry. You can return the completed permit application by email at [email protected] or by mail to The Waste Authority at 183 Commercial Blvd in Blakeslee, PA 18610. Payment must be accompanied with the completed application. Acceptable payment methods are credit or debit card and checks. Checks must be made payable to "Oak Grove Compost Processing Facility". FREE Used Cooking Oil Recycling Program for Nonprofit Organizations

The Monroe County Municipal Waste Management Authority is pleased to offer a FREE used cooking oil and fryer oil recycling service for nonprofit organizations located in Monroe County, Pennsylvania.

Proper recycling of used cooking oil helps protect sewer systems, reduces environmental impacts and supports sustainable waste management practices within our community.

This FREE service is available to qualifying nonprofit organizations throughout Monroe County, PA. Proof of nonprofit or tax-exempt status will be requested prior to participation in the program. Acceptable documentation includes an IRS determination letter, nonprofit registration documentation or other official verification of nonprofit status.
