Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

From all of us at Bridge Creek Fire, we extend our deepest gratitude to our fallen soldiers and to the families who carry their legacy forward each day. Because of their sacrifice, we enjoy the freedoms and safety we hold dear.

Please join us in taking a moment to reflect, remember, and give thanks.

🇺🇸 Never forgotten. Always honored.

This week is National Volunteer Week! We would like to thank each and every one of the gentlemen who volunteer their time to serve the Bridge Creek Community and surrounding communities. Did you know that every member is a volunteer member yet we staff the station 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year! Over 80% of the departments in the state of Oklahoma are 100% volunteer. We know everyone does not have the ability to commit the time to the required amount and frequency like on our department, but we encourage everyone to find an opportunity to serve others within whatever time constructs that your life allows. We will always be here when you need us!

April 19th. We will never forget. Today, 31 years ago, the Oklahoma Spirit was realized by the nation. First responders from all over the state of Oklahoma joined together as ONE this day and the weeks following saving as many lives as possible. May those first responders and families affected by this tragedy be remembered today. The Oklahoma spirit lives strong and it’s what drives us to continue on to serve others as those did that day.

A couple days ago, two men left their family and homes to respond to what is usually a routine structure fire. Tragically, their lives were cut short when their tanker was involved in a rollover accident.

Whether a career paid or volunteer fireman, the responsibilities and dangers of the job are the same. These gentlemen, Todd Pendleton and Bryan Jenkins, served their community for 12 and 35 years respectively.

Please keep their families, their department members and the town they served in your prayers as they navigate this unimaginable loss.

We will be assisting in providing aid to their community as the department navigates this tough time. Two separate towns, One brotherhood.

As of today 3/16/2026, the county commissioners have extended the Burn ban another 7 days.

This means no outside burning, this includes trash. The burning of trash in the Bridge Creek area is illegal with DEQ regulations as trash service is offered in our area.

We will have high winds and low humidity again this week and an elevated fire risk. If you see something call 911, early notification and response is the key to protect everyone’s property and homes.

Yesterday 3/13/26 BCFD responded to report of a grassfire in the 2400 block of 1223. Upon arrival, crews found working fire threatening multiple structures and approaching a heavily timbered area. Crews worked tirelessly through the evening and early morning to ensure the fire was under control and remained contained.

Crews were back out today and spent a good portion of the day working rekindled and falling trees to make sure the fire was out preceding the high winds tomorrow 3/15/26.

This is a reminder that the current state of vegetation is still highly flammable and rate of spread will be fast with the winds projected to occur in the next couple days. We are still under a burn ban.
