HOLIDAY CLOSURES

Labor Day. City of Blanchard City Hall will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

The Transfer Site will also be closed Sunday, September 6, and Monday, September 7, in observance of the holiday. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, September 8.

Water Discoloration Advisory for Blanchard Residents

The City of Blanchard is aware of possible water discoloration coming from the Oklahoma City water supply.
The discoloration may be caused by naturally occurring iron and manganese in water from Lake Draper. Oklahoma City utility crews are working to resolve the issue.
The water remains 100% safe to drink. However, residents may want to avoid washing white or light-colored clothing until the discoloration has been resolved, as it may cause staining.

The water remains 100% safe to drink. However, residents may want to avoid washing white or light-colored clothing until the discoloration has been resolved, as it may cause staining.

Utilities appreciates customers reporting their locations, as that information is helping to pinpoint where discoloration is occurring. Utilities Water Quality staff are continuing to adjust treatment and operations to restore the water to its normal clear appearance.

City of Blanchard Police Department Power Outage

The City of Blanchard Police Department is currently without power. All emergency calls via 911 are being rerouted to the McClain County Sheriff's Office.

For non-emergency matters, please call (405) 527-4600.

The City of Blanchard will host a Town Meeting tomorrow, August 15, at 1:00 p.m. at 300 N. Main Street to discuss the upcoming one cent sales tax election on August 25.

The community is encouraged to attend and learn more about the upcoming election, ask questions, and stay informed.
