Celebrate International Dark Sky Week with us as we explore the stories and legends behind our favorite seasonal constellations. Blanco County Friends of the Night Sky will also share why turning off our lights matters. 🔦

Join us for Fishing 101 at 10a.m. Learn the basics of fishing and test your luck in the river!🎣

If you’re looking to give back while visiting Blanco, Keep Blanco Beautiful is hosting a river clean up at Bindseil Park! We invite you to join them at 9 a.m. 🚮💚

It might be a rainy weekend, so keep an eye on the forecast. We will provide updates here if we need to cancel Fishing 101 !☔️

The weather is looking great for our star party this evening (3/28)! 🔭🌙

The clouds are expected to clear up around 7 p.m., so come out and join the Austin Astronomers for a constellation tour and telescope viewing!

We will be set up in the swim area. When you arrive at the park, turn right and drive straight until you reach the parking area. There will be signs to help point you in the right direction.

Please bring water, sturdy shoes, bug spray, and a red light! 🌟

Get involved at Blanco State Park! We have several volunteer opportunities available!😎

🛠️On the second Thursday of each month, we host volunteer workdays. Volunteers work alongside our maintenance team to clear our riverbanks of excess debris and invasive species. This project helps open up spots for fishing and support the native hardwoods that grow along the riverbank.

☀We also have positions available for park hosts during our summer season. Park hosts support daily park operations and get to live in the park!
