Week 1 is officially in the books, and we are excited to welcome Week 2 of our Upward Bound Summer Program! ✨🎉

The first week was filled with fun, learning, new experiences, and plenty of smiles. Most importantly, students from across San Juan County—including Red Mesa, Monticello, Blanding, Monument Valley, and Montezuma Creek—have come together to build new friendships and create a strong sense of community. 💛

From academic enrichment to team-building activities, our students have embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and support one another. It has been inspiring to watch these connections form and see the excitement our students bring each day.

We look forward to another week of learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Here’s to continuing the momentum and making this summer one to remember! ☀️📚🤝

We are so excited to welcome this year’s cohort of Upward Bound students as they begin their summer journey filled with:

🏫 Experiencing college life
🤝 Building new friendships across our school district

💛 Creating community and lifelong memories

This summer is an opportunity for our students to grow academically, socially, and personally as they prepare for their futures beyond high school.

It was a beautiful day celebrating the graduates of Monument Valley High School! ✨🎓

Held on the same day as Navajo Mountain’s graduation, it was truly special to witness another group of amazing scholars cross the stage and celebrate such an important milestone 💜

A huge congratulations to our Upward Bound scholars — Dakotah, Tyler, LeighAn, Enderya, Riley, Ahtiyanna, and Kiarah 👏🌟 We are incredibly proud of your hard work, dedication, and accomplishments throughout your high school journey.

A special congratulations goes to Dakotah, who earned the honor of Valedictorian, and to Riley, who was recognized as this year’s Salutatorian 🎉 Their achievements are a true reflection of leadership, perseverance, and academic excellence!

Congratulations to our newly graduated students from Navajo Mountain High School! ✨🎓

Although this year’s graduating class consisted of only two students, the ceremony was beautifully organized, meaningful, and intimate 💙

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Caynise, this year’s Valedictorian, and Summer, this year’s Salutatorian 👏🌟 Their hard work, dedication, and perseverance have truly paid off.

As they begin their next chapter at Utah State University Blanding, we wish them nothing but success, happiness, and new opportunities on their college journey 📚✨

A special thank you to their UB Advisor, Shaniah, and Program Coordinator, Riana, who attended the ceremony in support of our scholars and to celebrate this special milestone alongside them 💙

We are proud to celebrate one of our amazing seniors, Ethan Begay, from Whitehorse High School! 👏

After graduation, he plans to attend San Juan College and pursue a major in Civil Engineering! 📊📐
