Mason Smith was awarded officer of the year, Mason is one of the command staff members and was recently promoted to the role of Deputy Chief. During the 2025 year, Mason showed true integrity, professionalism, and drive. Mason makes himself available to help any of the members that need help. Mason also prioritize helping others. He is a true asset to the Fire District and the community.

Chief Perrien, Captain Mason Smith, and Lieutenant Scott Wimberley were awarded Life Saving awards for different incidents throughout the 2025, where CPR was preformed and successful.

Thank you Anheuser-Busch and National Volunteer Fire Council for the generous donation of emergency drinking water, and to 3 Eagles Distributing out of Cape Girardeau for delivering the pallets to our fire station! This water will keep our firefighters hydrated during wildfires and extended responses in extreme heat.

The donation is provided through Anheuser-Busch’s Emergency Drinking Water for Wildland Firefighters program, which supports volunteer departments with critical hydration resources during wildfires season.
