State Track and Field Update:

The girls 4x200m team consisting of Lily Good, Remmy Donaldson, Callie Luken and Heavenlei Newson finished 8th out of 18 teams and have qualified for the finals! They will run on Friday at 2:18 pm at Jesse Owen’s Memorial Stadium on the campus of The Ohio State University!

Callie Luken finished 15th in the open 400m. The top 9 qualify. Great job Callie!

Heavenlei Newson finished 11th in the 300m hurdles. The top 9 qualify. Heavenlei missed qualifying by 0.3 seconds. Great job Heavenlei!

Good luck to the 4x200m relay team tomorrow as they compete for a state championship and a spot on the All-Ohio Wall at Elmwood HS!

State Track Championships are today (prelims) and the championships will be streamed on NFHS. This is a pay channel, but you can stream the championships and watch our Elmwood athletes at today. The link to purchase and stream is:

The Elmwood events and times are:
4x200 runs at 1:32 pm today.
400m runs at 2:05 pm today.
300H runs at 2:25 pm today.

State finals are tomorrow. If any Elmwood athletes advance to the finals we will update with event times!

Traveling to Columbus for the State Track and Field Championships? A few things to know before you go:

Div 4 Prelims are Thursday June 4 beginning at 12:30. The events Elmwood will participate in are:
4x200 runs at 1:32 pm on Thursday.
400m runs at 2:05 pm on Thursday.
300H runs at 2:25 pm on Thursday.

Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium is part of The Ohio State University and all tickets will be purchased through Ticketmaster and all tickets must be purchased online.

There will be a Send-Off for our State-bound Athletes today at Elmwood High School and in Cygnet. Come help send Heavenlei, Callie, Lily & Remmy off to Columbus in style as they make their journey to Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium!

The bus will leave the high school parking lot around 3:00 pm led by the Cygnet Fire Department and will travel through Cygnet before getting on 75 South. Come out and support the girls and the coaches!

Congratulations to Coach Malecha , his coaching staff and the baseball Royals on winning Elmwood’s 24th sectional championship this afternoon at BGSU’s Steller Field. The Royals upset the 2nd seeded Chieftains from Hopewell Loudon 11-8 in 9 innings.

The Royals will play Van Buren Wednesday at Marathon Fields in Findlay. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 pm.

The Varsity Baseball Sectional game vs Hopewell has been moved to BGSU Steller Field. This is now a 4:30 pm start.

Reminder that this is an OHSAA game and a ticket will be required. Please visit OHSAA.org/tickets to purchase tickets for this afternoons game. There will be NO CASH SALES this afternoon. Online tickets only!
