Federation's Maimonides Society and the Chaldean American Association for Healthcare Professionals (CAAHP) were thrilled to bring together over 200 healthcare providers for an evening of wine tasting and networking. The event was met with overwhelming enthusiasm and we are sure this is just the first of many more opportunities to come together! 🩵

They’re not just learning about leadership — they’re living it. Students in the Coalition for Black and Jewish Unity Leadership Academy are building trust, finding common ground and learning to stand up to hate together. It’s an inspiring story about the future of our community. https://jewishdetroit.org/learning-to-lead-together/

We're so grateful to Lior for all she has done as our community Shlicha, and for the countless lives she has impacted in her time with us. We will miss her but we will always be family!

The Jewish Federation's 2026 Annual Campaign closes on May 31—and we need your support now.

Your gift is not just a donation. It is a reflection of your pride and commitment to our Jewish future. At a time of heightened antisemitism and growing security concerns, your support helps protect our schools, synagogues, camps and community spaces. At the same time, it helps care for those in need and sustain the joyful, meaningful Jewish life that binds us together.

This is our moment to show what Jewish Detroit stands for: showing up for one another, refusing to be defined by fear and investing in a strong, proud and vibrant community.

Please make your gift before May 31.

With gratitude,
Jewish Federation of Detroit

We join the Center for Michigan Jewish Heritage and the community in mourning the loss of Joan Meyers Jampel (1929-2026), for whom the Jampel Center is named. Joan was a passionate supporter of preserving the history of Jewish Detroit and ensuring the stories of our community were brought to light. She played an active role in the Archives Committees for both the The Jewish Federation of Detroit and Temple Beth El, where she sponsored (along with her late husband, Robert) the popular Jewish History Detective Lecture Series. The growth of both collections and their outreach would not have been possible without her dedication. Joan will be deeply missed but we are proud to carry on her legacy at the Joan Meyers Jampel Center for Michigan Jewish Heritage.

This is a moment that demands action and Congress must respond: The bipartisan Jewish American Security Act would strengthen protections for Jewish communities through increased security funding, stronger student protections, and new tools to combat antisemitism. Take one minute to fill to urge your elected officials to cosponsor this critical legislation.

Antisemitism is rising, and Jewish communities across the country continue to face serious security threats. Congress now has an...
