What a fun night at the Northeast Nelson Fire Department. Thank you to everyone that came out tonight. Everyone enjoyed the water slide, the bounce house, the games and most of all getting sprayed with the ladder truck with the ladder raised.

This evening at 6.38 the Northeast Nelson Fire Department was dispatched by Nelson County Dispatch to a possible injury accident at the 8500 block of Plum Run Road. Upon arrival we found a single vehicle accident that had hit tree. There was three people In the vehicle. All three were treated on scene by Nelson County EMS . All patients refused transport to the hospital. Also on scene was Nelson County S.O. No problems or further injuries reported while on scene

The Northeast Nelson Fire Department had four calls for service today.

12.50 alarm sounding at 126 Taylorsville road. Nothing found.

2.27 was called to a possible accident at the 38 mm on the BG parkway westbound. Report that a vehicle left the roadway and hit a rock wall. Caller stated they stopped to check. Advised no one was hurt and that we could cancel.

4.07 was dispatched to the 2600 block of Lawrenceburg road for a possible structure fire. Up on arrival Nothing was showing. After a investigation found a ceiling light that had a short in it. When light was on smoke was coming out of it. The power was shut off so a electrician could come and repair. No injuries reported.

9.15 was dispatched to assist Nelson County EMS at the 300 block of west main in Fairfield

At 18.00 tonight the Northeast Nelson Fire Department was dispatched by Nelson County Dispatch to a possible water rescue on Depot street in Bloomfield. The first initial call said that it was two small children that was swepted across the bridge. Then we had a report that it was four teenagers that put a raft on the water. The third report there was a 49 year old male that was in the water. After doing a complete investigation we found that it was the four teens that had put a raft in the water and was riding the creek. The creek was searched all the way down with nothing found. After doing further investigation by emergency personnel the teens were found in a apartment. Along with Northeast Nelson Fire, Bardstown Fire Department and their water rescue team, Nelson County EMS, Nelson County S.O, Nelson County Fire and the drone team, Nelson County EMA with the drone and Kentucky Fish and Wildlife were all on scene. There were no injuries reported

This morning at 6.00 the Northeast Nelson Fire Department was dispatched by Nelson County Dispatch to assist Nelson County Fire Department and Bardstown Fire Department with a structure fire at the 400 block of Marks lane. When Nelson County Fire Department and Bardstown Fire Department arrived on scene the fire had already broke through the roof. Northeast Nelson Fire supplied man power while on scene. At the time of the fire no one was home. Along with the fire departments, Nelson County EMS Nelson County S.O were also on scene. Salt river electric was also called to the scene. No injuries were reported.

In recent days there have been reports in Nelson County of two individuals going door to door identifying themselves as firefighters and offering home fire inspections and fire safety videos. We were notified this morning these individuals were possibly seen in the 300 block of Chaplin Road. The suspects were possibly driving a dark passenger car. Northeast Nelson Fire Protection District will NEVER come to your home uninvited for fire inspections or safety lessons. If you are contacted by these individuals, DO NOT let them into your home. Report any contact or information regarding them to Nelson County Dispatch by dialing 911, or the Nelson County Sheriff's Office by dialing 348-1840. Please share this post and hopefully we can get these people off the streets.
