Now hiring for Meter Reader/Serviceman position:
Meter Reader / Serviceman
Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week - 7:30am - 4:00pm
Must have a valid driver's license and high school diploma/HSE
Starting pay is $17/hour
Duties:
The position is for meter reader and serviceman which involves reading water meters, helping repair water leaks, installing new water meters, and helping maintain water company infrastructure, equipment, and properties.
The employee will be required to participate in “on-call” schedule, sharing duties with other employees. After 1 year the employee will train for and take water treatment and water distribution operator exams (after passing the exam, will be eligible for a $2/hour raise).
There will be times when the employee is asked to work overtime on weekends or after hours in emergencies or when on call. Due to the nature of the business, the applicant must live within 15 miles of the office in Bloomfield.
Necessary skills:
Work a flexible schedule which may include weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Able to do labor intensive work in all weather conditions.
Experience working with or being around backhoes, dump trucks, towing trailers, pumps, lawn mowers, power tools, and hand tools.
