We had an amazing time at last week's Jr. Police Academy!

A huge thank you to all of the kids who attended. You showed great enthusiasm and curiosity all week long. It was a pleasure getting to know each of you, and we hope you had as much fun as we did.

We'd also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the local businesses who generously provided donations. Your support helped make this program possible and truly special for the kids.

And of course, thank you to our incredible volunteers who gave their time and energy to help make the academy a success. We couldn't have done it without you!

We would again like to thank A&R Photography & Designs Kart Kanyon Speedway and all of their supporters and volunteers, Tenski, Tenski, as well as the other partcipating agencies Aztec Police Department San Juan County Fire & Rescue Farmington Police Department - New Mexico for allowing us to compete and participate in the Battle of the Badges this season.

Today, we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who attended the flag ceremony honoring Officer Timothy Ontiveros.

Your presence, support, and prayers mean more than words can express...not only to Officer Ontiveros’ family, but to the entire law enforcement community. Today’s ceremony was a powerful reminder of the sacrifice he made and the strength and unity of those who stand behind our officers.

Please continue to keep Officer Ontiveros, his loved ones, and all those impacted by this loss in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for standing with us and honoring his life, service, and sacrifice.

The following Bloomfield offices will be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day:

• Bloomfield Police Department (Administrative Office)
• Bloomfield MVD
• Bloomfield Municipal Court

On this day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Please note: law enforcement officers will still be on duty, and emergency services will remain available. In case of an emergency, please dial 911.

All offices will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26.

We wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.
