Four years ago, Officer Yelena Malinovskaya passed away after a long battle with a rare type of cancer. Officer Malinovskaya remained committed to public safety throughout her career, especially in DUI enforcement. As a way to preserve her legacy, the Bloomingdale Police Department will be presenting an officer each year with the "Yelena Malinovskaya Public Safety Award" for excellence in DUI enforcement. On behalf of the Bloomingdale Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 3272, we extend our deepest gratitude to Thomas Manion on his retirement day and thank you for over 21 years of dedicated service and leadership. Tommy served every position on the E-board for Local 3272 and negotiated numerous contracts. Tommy was named President Emeritus from the local for all his countless hours that he gave to the Union. Tommy although you take your gear off for the last time today, your name and all your stories will never go away! Thank you for everything you have done, enjoy your retirement!

It is with great appreciation that we announce the retirement of Battalion Chief Denny Kuntzman Jr. BC Kuntzman served and dedicated 20+ years to the community of Bloomingdale. Brother Kuntzman also served as Vice President of Local 3272. Thank you Denny for everything you have done for Local 3272 as well as the community. You will be greatly missed. Eight years ago today, The Bloomingdale Police Department lost Officer Raymond Murrell, who passed away in the Line of Duty. Although Ray is no longer with us, his legacy lives on to this day through our officers' actions. RIP #145
