For any Fire Department or EMS agency wishing to participate in the procession Emergency Vehicles will be staged along County Road 33 (Airpark Road) At Fernwood Road. Please arrive no later than 1300 Hours for the procession. Firefighter honors will be conducted at the graveside, with a reception to follow.
Robert Paul Millick, 67 of Bloomingdale Ohio succumbed to a brief illness at home Monday June 22nd 2026. Born on April 6th 1959 in Wheeling WV, to the late Robert H (Roscoe) Millick and Jeannene (Walters) Millick. A graduate of Wintersville High School class of 1977, Bobcat as he was more commonly known was a technical thinker with a passion for all things mechanical. He operated Bobcat’s Auto body, and worked for the family business, Millick Heating and Cooling. He served as Deputy Wayne township constable alongside his father, and later in life drove school bus for Indian Creek School District.
While he worked many jobs through his life his true passion was the Fire Service, He joined the Belvedere VFD as a junior firefighter at 14, by age 16 he was one of the youngest EMT’s in Ohio. He would serve over 40 years as the Belvedere Fire Chief, with the last 38 of them being consecutive. In addition to becoming an Advanced EMT and Fire Inspector, he applied his technical thinking to every aspect of the fire dept. He developed training programs, designed fire trucks, and shaped a small volunteer fire department into a formidable firefighting force. He also built and raced dune buggies, painted cars, invented and improved gadgets, and was even known to enjoy the occasional cigar and bourbon.
Bobcat was proceeded in death by his wife of 30 years Elizabeth (Betty) Millick, whom he married November 11, 1989, and his father Robert H. Millick. Left to cherish his memory, and tell his stories, his daughter Sarah (Brett) Millick, Mother Jeannene A. Millick, Brother Bruce (Stephanie) Millick and Niece Carolyn Millick.
Friends will be received at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville On Monday June 29th 2026 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Rev. Frank Rogers will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. After which a procession of emergency vehicles will take him to New Alexandria Cemetery for burial. Offer condolences online at
