📢 Reminder: Village Office Closure

The Village Office will be closed beginning Tuesday, May 19, 2026, while the new reception window and countertop are installed. Painting and finishing work will also need to be completed before the office can reopen.

We anticipate being closed for the remainder of the week, but we will reopen as quickly as possible.

During the closure:
• Utility payments may still be placed in the drop box
• Online payments remain available
• Email and voicemail will be monitored as availability allows

Thank you for your patience and understanding while these office improvements are completed.

💧 Utility Billing Reminder

Utility bills for the recent quarter were due on April 20th.

If you have an outstanding balance, please take a moment to review your account and submit payment as soon as possible to avoid additional fees or potential service interruption.

As a reminder, payment options include:
• In person during office hours
• Drop box at the Village Office
• Mail
• Online (3.25% convenience fee applies)
• Direct Pay/ACH

🌿 Yard Waste Reminder 🌿

As you’re cleaning up your yards this season, please make sure that yard waste is placed in containers that are a manageable size and weight for one person to safely lift up and over the truck.

Per the Village’s recently adopted Chapter 17 – Garbage & Recycling Ordinance (Ordinance No. 2026-03), all materials set out for collection must be properly prepared and placed in a manner that allows for safe and efficient handling by collection personnel.

Containers that are too large or too heavy may not be collected.

If you have larger amounts of brush or heavier materials, you are welcome to take them out to the Quarry brush pile for disposal.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping keep collection safe and running smoothly!

The restrooms at Village Square Park and Bloomington Community Park are now open for public use.

Whether you're enjoying the playground, a ballgame, or a relaxing afternoon outside, we hope this makes your visit even more convenient.

🚨 Utility Payment Reminder 🚨

Water and sewer utility payments were due yesterday.

Past due notices are being mailed out today. If you have not yet made your payment, please do so as soon as possible.

💡 Direct Pay Option Available
The Village offers a convenient Direct Pay (ACH) option, allowing your utility payments to be automatically deducted each billing cycle. The authorization form and details are available on the Village website.

💳 Other Ways to Pay:
Residents can also make payments using any of the following methods:
• Drop off at the Village Office during regular office hours
• Place in the Clerk’s drop box when the municipal building is open (Monday–Saturday)
• Drop off at Clare Bank or Peoples State Bank
• Mail your payment
• Pay online through AllPaid

🌿 Notice of Grass & W**d Regulations 🌿

The Village of Bloomington would like to remind all residents and property owners of our regulations regarding noxious weeds and grass/weed height.

Under Wisconsin Statutes § 94.20:

Property owners are responsible for preventing the growth and spread of noxious weeds such as Canada thistle, leafy spurge, and field bindweed.
Grass and weeds within the Village may not exceed an average height of 12 inches in residential or business districts.

📌 What to expect:

An official notice will be published in this week’s Grant County Herald Independent.
If a property is found to be non-compliant, a 10-day written notice will be issued.
If not addressed, the Village may take action to correct the issue, and the cost may be assessed to the property owner.
