We are excited to welcome our students and families back for the 2026–2027 school year! Please join us for Back-to-School Night on tonight from 5:30–6:30 p.m. Students and families will have the opportunity to meet their teacher, see their classroom, and drop off school supplies. Our first day of school will be August 20th. We look forward to seeing everyone!

Unfortunately, our new garden shed, which we secured through the UFEA SCORE Grant, did not make it through yesterday’s storms. Thankfully, this was the only major damage to our building and grounds.

WALK-IN REGISTRATION KICKS OFF AT SOME SCHOOLS TODAY!

At the elementary and junior high school levels, walk-in registration is intended for families who are unable to register online or need to complete forms and drop off paperwork that can not be uploaded online. All high school students and a parent/guardian must attend walk-in registration.

* ELEMENTARY SCHOOL REGISTRATION - Aug. 4-6, schedule varies by school
* JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRATION - Week of Aug. 10 by appointment only
* HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRATION - NCHS August 5 & 6, NWHS Aug. 10-11 Required, Supported, and New Student Registration ONLY, all other students Aug. 12. Please see notes for details.

All high school students should attend walk-in registration.

School IDs, pictures for the yearbook, distribution of district laptops and textbooks, schedules, and spirit wear will all be available.

Students are welcome to walk through their schedule, decorate their locker, and turn in physicals to the nurse at this time as well. Make bring a printed copy of your receipt from Infinite Campus online registration, if possible, to avoid the lines!

McLean Mobile Health Services – Community Back-to-School Physical and Immunization Events

Carle wants to help families get their back-to-school physicals & immunizations.

Carle Health and Chestnut Health will be offering a 2-day event to help students get their required physicals and vaccines for the upcoming school year. This event will be held at Western Avenue Community Center – 600 N Western Ave, Bloomington, IL 61701

Community Organizations Attending:
- Tinervin Family Foundation will be passing out free tennis shoes!
- United Way
- Carle Community Outreach
- Chestnut Health
- McLean Public Health Department

Carle's Mobile Health Services will be offering school/sports physicals and Immunizations to help families get ready for the new school year.

Appointments should be made with Carle. Spaces are limited, and individuals will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. If we run out of spaces, we will begin a waiting list.

The Mobile Clinic serves students of all ages with any type of insurance, including a state medical card. If the patients do not have any insurance, help is provided to sign up for the Carle Financial Assistance Program or for Medicaid.
Students MUST have a legal guardian accompany them to the clinic.
Just a reminder, Unit 5 will have a First Day Exclusion for the fall of 2026
The first day of school for K-12 students is Thursday, August 20, and Unit 5 students must have their medical documentation turned in to the school by the first day of school.
