The McLean County Regional Planning Commission (MCRPC) is proud to announce the kickoff of the development of the Metropolitan Transportation Plan 2055, otherwise known as the MTP 2055. The MTP 2055 will lay out how our community wants our transportation network to look like and function over the next 25 years.

Please take our Transportation Survey! We value your input on issues, concerns, and ideas you have about our existing transportation network. Your input will help guide the visioning process for the Plan. Click the "Take the Survey!" to provide us your input online (https://arcg.is/0urDfu1). Paper copies of the survey will be available at the MCRPC Office in Suite M-103 of the Government Center, the public libraries of Bloomington and Normal, The HUB on the first floor of the Government Center, and the Town of Normal offices at 11 Uptown Circle. Surveys are available in English and Spanish.

The deadline to complete the survey is Sunday, November 1st, 2026.

The McLean County Regional Planning Commission (MCRPC) is pleased to announce the launch of the Rural Public Transit Survey for the counties of Ford, Iroquois, Livingston, Kankakee, and McLean. We value your feedback on unmet needs and service gaps you see with our rural public transit services. Your input will inform the 2027 update of the Human Services Transportation Plan (HSTP) for Region 6.

Paper copies of the survey will be available at the MCRPC Office in Bloomington, the County Clerk offices of Ford, Iroquois, and Livingston counties, and the Kankakee County Planning Department office. Surveys are available in English and Spanish.

The McLean County Regional Planning Commission set out to study Veterans Parkway over a year ago. Recommendations in the final plan include ways to make the road safer, including lowering the speed limit.

The McLean County Regional Planning Commission (MCRPC) is pleased to announce the final public review of the DRAFT Reinvent Veterans Parkway final report on the Veterans Parkway Corridor Plan, culminating a two-year intensive study of possible futures for this critical roadway in Bloomington-Normal.

In addition to posting on our website (see link below), the report will be available at the Bloomington and Normal public libraries, the Town and City public reference locations, and the MCRPC office.
