Last week Childrens Home + Aid was a part of 3 major events to raise awareness for child abuse prevention month. The 5k had a great turnout with many runners/walkers and lots of fun. The preschool mini parade was fun and reached many local children. The Blue Bow day and Family Fun Night were also successful. Thanks to everyone who was a part of these events! join us again for our Kids Turn group this Wednesday at 5:30pm

It is finally April! Spring is here & so is Child Abuse Prevention month. In 2009, approximately 3.3 million child abuse reports were made involving an estimated 6 million children according to the US Dept. of Health & Human Services. Spend time with your children this week and make sure they know you love them! Today only lasts for today, tomorrow it will be gone.

The Blue Bow Campaign is in recognition of April as Child Abuse Prevention month. Please take some time to learn more about the campaign and how Illinois is stepping up to this unfortunate crisis.

The goal of the campaign is to promote awareness for the prevention of child abuse and neglect in Illinois and to highlight effective community resources that are available to help families.

Come to the Parent Expo this Saturday, February 18th from 8:30-1:15pm at Trinity Lutheran Church. All parents/caregivers of children up to age 12 are welcome. Come enjoy the company of other parents and listen to parenting sessions. There will also be a Preschool Fair at the event. There is no cost for attending. Come out and have some fun this Saturday!
