Today's the big day!

United Way of South Central Indiana is proud to sponsor FREE Swim Day during the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County Ugly Duck Derby!

📅 September 5 | 12–6 PM
📍 Free community swimming, all afternoon

We'll be running fun games with prizes during pool breaks! Get ready for beach ball hot potato, freeze dance, hula hoop contest, and pick a duck.

Then stick around from 6–8 PM as thousands of ducks race for the finish line, with a $4,000 grand prize and dozens more up for grabs. Every ticket supports the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County.

Join us in celebrating Jenn Hottell's 22nd work anniversary with United Way of South Central Indiana!

Jenn has worn many hats at our org — leading communications, developing reporting systems, digging into impact data, designing graphics, launching programs, writing stories, assisting with grants and special events, overhauling our website, being tormented by social media, and connecting people to resources -- all while building lasting connections with our partners and community.

Jenn brings creativity, compassion, dedication, and heart to everything she does. Thank you for all you've done, and we're so grateful to celebrate this milestone with you!

A few days left to register your project! Does your household or organization in Monroe County have a project you’ve been putting off? We want to help!

From a few extra hands to tackle a project to helping with something you just can’t get to on your own, we’re here to connect you with caring volunteers from our community.

Submit your Day of Caring project request by Friday, September 4th to get matched with volunteers this October 2nd.

Day of Caring is relaunching! What can we help you with? Painting, landscaping, clean-up, organizing — if you're a Monroe County nonprofit, school, church, or homeowner with a project in mind, let us know by Friday, Sept 4th and we'll bring the volunteers on October 2nd.
