Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County is a nonprofit organization with a mission to expand affordable housing opportunities by partnering with people in our community. The focus of our mission is not simply the construction of houses, but also the development and empowerment of people and communities. We’re invested in the people involved in our work: our families who purchase Habitat homes, those

involved in the volunteer construction of those houses, and those who financially support what we do. We seek to form partnerships among people from all walks of life and focus on building equity, stability, and community.

Thank you to everyone who came out last month to run, walk, and celebrate Kim Geslin's memory. Because of the incredible support from participants, volunteers, and sponsors, the event raised over $4,500 to support Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County’s Women+ Build in Kim’s honor. 💙

We’re so grateful for the community that made this day possible and for the many hands that helped carry on Kim’s legacy in such a meaningful way.

Since 2001, volunteers across Monroe County have come together through Women+ Build to support Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County in building two homes each year for local families.

Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Because of their sacrifice, we have the freedom to come together and build stronger communities, creating strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. Today, we honor their legacy, remember their service, and extend our gratitude to the families who carry that legacy forward.

In observance of Memorial Day, the Habitat for Humanity admin office and Habitat ReStore will be closed as we take time to reflect and remember. We will reopen on Tuesday, May 26th. 🏡💙
