🚧 Road Work Update: Access to YWCA McLean County Has Changed 🚧

IDOT is currently reconstructing Hershey Road in front of our campus, which is impacting how visitors, students, clients, and community members can access our building.

The ONLY way to enter our campus is via northbound Hershey Road.

If you are traveling southbound on Hershey Road, please follow local detours through the surrounding neighborhoods to access Route 9 and return to Hershey Road from the northbound direction.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE: Please do NOT use our northernmost EXIT ONLY driveway to enter our parking lot as that creates dangerous situations for our clients, students, and staff.

Your patience and cooperation help keep our community safe. Thank you for planning ahead and following posted traffic directions.

Families, employers, and our local economy all depend on a strong childcare system. That's why at YWCA McLean County, we will continue fighting for policies, funding, and local solutions that expand access to affordable, high-quality childcare across our community.

Leadership at YWCA McLean County is pitching government bodies for financial help to address the area's childcare crisis. President and CEO Liz German said there are significant gaps in the state subsidy for childcare — and change is not coming fast enough.
