In case you missed our story from the weekend: our W**e & Wildlife auction is currently live for online bidding!

Online bidding is available now through this Saturday at Noon EST. After that time, the auction will move offline and bids can only be made by W**e & Wildlife event attendees on site.

See an item that you just have to have? Snag it now at the Buy It Now price, and it's guaranteed to be yours! Otherwise, you can place your opening bid and take your chances that you won't be outbid on Saturday.

Regardless, all proceeds from our auction go towards WildCare's support. 🍷🐾

UPDATE/EDIT: Sorry, folks! It was brought to our attention that there were issues with the original hyperlink, and it wasn't cooperating. Please see our comment below this post for the updated (functional!) link. 💚

We are so excited to once again host WildCare's W**e and Wildlife event at Butler W**ery this fall! Guests will enjoy w**e sampling, live music, a silent auction, food for purchase, children's crafts, and, of course, interaction with our variety of animal ambassadors. We'll also have a face painter and caricaturist on site!

As usual, this is a family-friendly event with all ages are welcome! This event is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, and seeing the support from our community is so wonderful and uplifting.

Thank you all as always for all your generous support! 🐢🐇🦇

It's not often that an animal comes into our care and gets to go back home the same day! This spiny soft shell turtle was the exception this week.

This turtle was located at Lake Monroe by some kids with a fishing hook in its mouth and brought to one of our volunteers who happens to work in that area. After our volunteer reached out to us, our Animal Care Director went and picked up the turtle to see if we could remove the hook safely.

The turtle was given pain medication, had the fishing hook successfully removed, and was released back to its original home later the same day after some observation! 🐢🐢
