Brightpoint Bloomington Crisis Nursery

Brightpoint Bloomington Crisis Nursery Brightpoint engages with over 30,000 children youth and families each year in 67 counties in Illinois

Bloomington Crisis Nursery provides nurturing and attentive care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year to children ages birth through six years old. The Crisis Nursery understands many families are isolated with little to no support system. The Crisis Nursery staff offer a helping hand to relieve parental stress caused by illness, homelessness, domestic violence, mental health and subst

ance abuse issues, home crisis, and for medical and other appointments. The goal of the Crisis Nursery program is to provide overburdened parents with facilitated breaks, crisis counseling, stress reduction therapy, family stability and positive parenting education. The Crisis Nursery offers supportive services that link parents and caregivers to community resources to help them cope and problem-solve. Most importantly, research has shown the Crisis Nursery helps to greatly reduce parental stress that leads to child maltreatment. In its holistic approach to crisis management, the program provides basic needs services including access to necessities such as diapers, wipes and formula. The Crisis Nursery is an active and founding member of the Illinois Crisis Nursery Coalition.

🚨 SAUCE EMERGENCY ALERT 🚨

Last week's power outage wiped out our entire condiment stash. 😭

The chicken nuggets are back now, but they're feeling a little sad and wondering where all their favorite dipping buddies went.

We're looking for donations of: πŸ… Ketchup
πŸ₯› Ranch
πŸ”₯ BBQ Sauce
🍯 Honey Mustard
🍊 Sweet & Sour Sauce
πŸ˜‹ Any other nugget-approved dipping sauces

If you'd like to help us rebuild our sauce collection, we'd be incredibly grateful. Our nuggets deserve better than a dry future. πŸ˜‚πŸ—

Thank you for helping us get our nuggets back into a serious dipping relationship! β€οΈπŸ—

Power Update πŸ’™

Ameren is currently estimating that our power will be restored late tomorrow. We are hopeful that this means we will be able to reopen for overnight care starting Saturday, August 15th.

Please be patient with us as we work to get everything back up and running. Unfortunately, we will need to replace all of the food that was lost so we can continue providing meals and snacks for the children in our care.

As always, we are accepting donations, and Walmart or Kroger gift cards are especially helpful right now so we can purchase food to feed the children in our care.

Thank you so much for your continued support, patience, and understanding. ❀️ We truly appreciate our community!

Unfortunately, we are still without power and are unable to safely care for children or hand out supplies at this time. πŸ’™

We will continue to answer the crisis line and be here to support families however we can. We will provide an update as soon as we are able to safely resume caring for children and distributing supplies.

Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Due to a power outage, our childcare services are temporarily unavailable. However, our crisis line is still open, and our team is here to help. Please reach out if you need support. We appreciate your understanding as we work through this situation.

With no power, our outdoor doorbell is also not working so we’re not able to come to the door and hand out supplies. Please come see us tomorrow to pick up any supplies you have requested. οΏΌ
