Good morning, Monroe County citizens! Our hearts go out to the many people affected by the recent storms. We are currently gathering information on the areas that we need to visit. We will be starting to survey the damage on Friday to get these structures taken off of the tax rolls for 2025 payable 2026.

The first Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals meeting for 2022 will be held on Thursday, February 17th at 9:00am! This will be an organizational meeting only. Form 11’s will be going out by May 1st for the 2022 payable 2023 appeal season. We will be posting when hearings start. Hearings will be held by Zoom or phone conferences until further notice.

Good morning Monroe County!

It's that time of year again...our Form 11's (Notices of Assessments) went out last Thursday, April 29th, 2021. The appeal deadline will be June 15th, 2021. The Courthouse is still closed to the public, but we will still be in the office to help you with phone calls or emails. Our office phone number is 812-349-2502. Hello Monroe County! We just wanted to let everyone know that we are in the process of doing site visits in the areas affected by the recent storms, to reduce or even remove the assessed value of the damaged structures. We were on Dittemore Road last week and we will be out in the Ellettsville area tomorrow. If you or anyone you know has damaged property, please know that we are trying our best to visit every one. If you haven't seen us in the next couple of weeks, please call our office at 812-349-2842 to report the damage. We are so sorry that this happened to you folks and we are doing our best to help.

The Monroe County Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals (PTABOA) will commence it's annual session on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 9:00 am in the Assessor's meeting room in the Monroe County Courthouse. The purpose for this first meeting is to organize the Board to prepare for reviewing appeals and other related matters concerning assessments and taxes. This annual session shall continue from time to time thereafter until the Board's duties are completed. Detailed agendas will be duly posted at the entrance of the hearing room immediately prior to the hearings during the session. This notice is given pursuant to IC 6-1.1-28-6.

Good morning, Monroe County! Our Form 11, Notices of Assessment, went out over the weekend! Look for those in your mailboxes soon! Our appeal deadline for 2018 payable 2019 is May 15th, 2018!
