🐐 This natural resources crew is literally the GOAT.

Bloomington Parks and Recreation has brought goats to Nord Myr Park (near West 91st Street and Toledo Road) this summer to help manage vegetation naturally and support native plant restoration. 🌿

Nature’s maintenance team understood the assignment.

Watch these hardworking grazers tackle 13 acres of parkland—one bite at a time.

We are so excited to have Shawn Nelson, Bloomington's District 2 Council Member, as our opening keynote speaker!

Shawn is an experienced small business owner. He currently serves as the president of New Spaces, a small business that helps transform customers’ homes with kitchen, bath, basement and other home remodeling, along with additions to accommodate their growing needs. He is also president of Blue Sky Skylights, a small business focused on adding daylight and ventilation to homes and offices. He also serves on the Port Authority board, helping drive the economic development engine of the fourth largest city in Minnesota.

When he’s not doing City Council business or working, Shawn volunteers as a board member for VEAP, a nonprofit providing food and housing assistance for the community, and for Bloomington Minnesota Travel and Tourism, a destination marketing organization that promotes local attractions, including Mall of America, and supports a wide range of events, travel and tourism, and recreation in Bloomington and surrounding communities.

You can hear from Shawn and our whole amazing lineup of speakers at our Minnesota Regional Summit, coming up on June 5th, 8:30am to 3:30pm. See the details and register online today!
