🚌 Farmers Market Shuttle: Lowell is offering Saturday trips to the farmers market throughout September, except September 19. Spots are first come, first served, so sign up early! Call or text 812-269-4022 or email [email protected].

🎨 Painting Workshop: Join us at the Smith Community Center on Tuesday, September 15, from 11 AM–3 PM for a fun, self-guided painting event. All skill levels are welcome!

🏡 Community Updates: We’re also sharing progress on the Crestmont solar project, Walnut Woods playground improvements, and community building upgrades.

BHA is looking for a friendly, reliable Office Coordinator to provide administrative, customer service, and clerical support to BHA’s Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) and Property Management operations. This position works from the front desk and serves as the first point of contact for residents, applicants, agency partners, and members of the public who visit our office, providing professional, courteous, and accurate assistance.

The position requires strong organizational, communication, computer, and customer service skills; the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; and the ability to respond calmly and professionally to difficult situations. We are looking for someone who is dependable, prompt and who would thrive in a role where they can help others in a mission-driven organization.

Public notice is hereby given that the Bloomington Housing Authority will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 9:00 am in the Lindsey A. Smith Community Center, located at 1002 N. Summit St., Bloomington, IN 47404. The Bloomington Housing Authority (the “Authority”), on behalf of itself and the Common Council of the City of Bloomington, Indiana, will hold this public hearing with respect to the issuance by the Authority of its General Revenue Bonds (Bloomington Portfolio Acquisition Project), in one or more series or sub-series, with a maximum aggregate principal amount not to exceed One Hundred Million Dollars ($100,000,000), to be issued pursuant to IC 36-7-18 et seq., the proceeds of which will be used to acquire, construct, renovate, fund capital improvements, working capital and certain necessary reserve funds for a housing project for persons and families of low income within the meaning of IC 36-3-18-3. The project(s) location(s) are at the following addresses: (a) Basswood Apartments located at 1000 S. Basswood Circle, (b) Kingston Manor Apartments, located at 3200 E. Longview Avenue, (c) Northcrest Apartments located at 1440 N. Woodburn Avenue, (d) Woodland Springs Apartments, located at 3111 S. Leonard, and (e) Summit Pointe Apartments, located at 701 E.
