Greater Columbia Medical Transport Services is proud to announce that we have also received EMSOF grant funding through Seven Mountains EMS Council!

Thanks to this funding, we were able to purchase Sapphire Infusion Pumps and McGrath MAC Video Laryngoscopes for use by our paramedics in the field.

These advanced tools will further enhance the care we provide to our patients. The Sapphire Infusion Pumps allow for the precise administration of critical medications and fluids, while the McGrath MAC Video Laryngoscopes provide improved visualization during advanced airway management, helping our paramedics deliver lifesaving care in even the most challenging situations.

Grants like these ensure that our providers have access to modern, high-quality equipment that directly benefits the communities we serve.

Thank you to our dedicated EMS professionals who put this equipment to work every day.

We are proud to announce that Bloomsburg Volunteer Ambulance Association has been awarded EMSOF grant funding through Seven Mountains EMS Council!

This funding allowed us to purchase a DOTY Belt Patient Lifting System and new CPAP masks—equipment that directly benefits both our patients and our providers.

The DOTY Belt helps our crews safely lift and move patients while reducing the risk of injury, while our new CPAP masks enhance our ability to provide lifesaving respiratory care to patients in need.

Investments like these help ensure we can continue providing safe, effective, and compassionate emergency medical care to our community.
Together, we're building a stronger, safer community.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we ask everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of the holiday and remember those who gave everything for our freedom.

During National EMS Week, we celebrate and recognize the EMS providers who dedicate themselves to serving others every single day.

From critical emergencies in the middle of the night to community events, public education, and training future providers, EMS professionals are there whenever they are needed most. The work is demanding, the hours are long, and many sacrifices happen behind the scenes — but our providers continue to answer the call with compassion, professionalism, and commitment to their communities.

At Bloomsburg EMS we are proud to celebrate our EMS providers, along with all of the rest across the nation who work tirelessly both on the front lines and behind the scenes to care for our community.

Thank you to our providers and to the community members who continue to support EMS every day. We are honored to serve you.

This past Tuesday, Bloomsburg EMS was proud to take part in a mock crash event at Southern Columbia High School.

This important demonstration gave students a realistic look at the devastating consequences that can result from driving under the influence. Our hope is that by seeing how quickly lives can be changed, young drivers will make safe and responsible choices behind the wheel.
Driving impaired by alcohol or drugs puts not only the driver at risk, but passengers, other motorists, and pedestrians as well. One poor decision can lead to serious injuries, loss of life, and lasting impact on families and communities.

We want to thank Southern Columbia High School, Elysburg Fire Department, Elysburg Fire Department Emergency Medical Services, Catawissa Fire Company, Locust Township Police Department, Ralpho Township Police Department, and LVHN MedEvac for helping educate the next generation on the importance of safe driving. Please remember: never drive under the influence. Plan ahead, use a designated driver, or call for a safe ride home.
